Scovery Cyber Barometer: France maintains its position among major economies

The cyber barometer published by Scovery in the Journal du Net shows that France’s posture remained broadly stable at the beginning of 2026, despite widening differences between sectors.

With a cyber score of 769 in February 2026, France remains 18th among 38 OECD countries. This position is solid, but the coming months will be decisive as attacks intensify and the regulatory framework becomes stricter, particularly with NIS2.

Trends vary considerably by sector. Geolocation and mapping are improving, while digital platforms and artificial intelligence are declining. France’s AI sector remains slightly above average, but its posture is weakening, particularly in patch management.

These findings are based on Scovery’s World Cyber Ranking, powered by continuous analysis of the external exposure of millions of companies and a digital twin of the corporate Internet comprising more than 10 billion assets.
